I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafeteria 15L, and I must say, it was an enjoyable experience. Mind you we did make a reservation same day in advance since it was a Saturday and it actually was quite busy upon arrival, though thanks to the reservation we were sat at our scheduled time and were greeted at our table without 10 minutes I would say. As for the ambiance, it is modern yet cozy, making it a great spot for brunch with friends or even a casual date. I started with the Brioche French Toast which came with fresh berries, berry purée, and salted maple cream. No side. While the toast itself was perfectly cooked--soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside--the berry purée was quite tart. If you're not a fan of tart flavors, I'd recommend asking for it on the side. It's a small adjustment that allows you to enjoy the dish without the strong tanginess overpowering the other flavors. As a side, I also ordered the breakfast potatoes, and they did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they were seasoned just right and added a nice savory contrast to the sweetness of the French toast. We also tried the Cafeteria Burger, and it was everything you'd want in a burger--juicy, flavorful, and topped with fresh ingredients. It's a solid choice if you're in the mood for something hearty.

Me and my wife came here after church to have brunch. When we got here we were greeted by the staff and were seated without a long wait. The waiter was very friendly and very attentive to our needs. My wife ordered the Mexican skillet and unlimited mimosas. My wife loved her mimosas and her Mexican skillet. I ordered the Cafeteria 15L skillet. The skillet was delicious and very flavorful. The ambiance is customer friendly and has plenty of seats. A great place to go for lunch and brunch.

Jordyn was an excellent server/ bartender . Always attentive to us. The other bartender was not as attentive as Jordyn.. jordyn was taking tables running back and forth to her tables and still took care of us at the bar top. we had to ask for mimosa refills and for condiments from the the blonde bartender that was behind the bar not the one in the well .. she came and said hi once and checked on us the other gal was ignoring us all the time. I hope Jordyn gets the recognition of her hard work.

Jordan was an amazing server and bartender !!! All of the other bartender the skinny blonde girl was very inattentive i constantly had to ask for refills of mimosas and condimentes but jordan went above and beyond and make my experience so much better.

Got to enjoy a very delicious brunch on the patio of Cafeteria! We decided to order bottomless mimosas, which were very good and our server was attentive with refills. I will say the mimosas are mostly OJ, which is probably for the best. The food we ordered was SO flavorful and the portions were very large. Glad we got to try this spot and will definitely be bringing future visitors back!

Great food, excellent management, love all the servers, well attuned to industry standards. Thai steak salad is a must try, sub noodle for mixed greens if carbs worry you. MAC has it figured out in accounting for alcohol poured for public consumption. Gold standard. Phallon rocks.

One of my favorite casual, but tasty spots to eat in Sacramento. Had a great lunch last time I was here. They have a really god menu - unique salads, sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. I was too busy at a conference to eat here this time, but stopped in for happy hour (M-F 3-6) and had their Blood Orange martini which was a perfect end to a long day - Grey Goose L'Orange vodka, Salerno blood Orange liqueur, OJ and a garnish of jalapeño slice. Lots of other great-looking specialty cocktails, too. Cool music, nice vibe and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit!

Made a reservation for this morning, and we were right on time. I checked in, and the hostess seemed tired and wasn't smiling. I opted for outdoor seating and let her know we'd (my party) would be waiting outside so we didn't block the entryway. We were standing outside waiting and watched two separate parties walk in and get seated. I took my friends inside, and it appeared that she completely forgot and asked again if we'd like indoor or outdoor seating. I understand being tired. We've all been there! Unfortunately, this was a bad start to our brunch date. I was originally going to give 3 stars, but our waiter made a huge impact on our experience! The waiter was incredibly nice and prompt. Made sure to top off my bottomless mimosas as needed. The food was actually pretty good! I got the florentine benedict with the fried potatoes. Absolutely delicious. Forewarning: There is a pile of potatoes on the plate, so you might want to wait to add sides! They filled me up!

*** Vegetarian Review *** Would I Come Back? Yes. They have a nice selection of vegetarian menu items. Great atmosphere and if you can, opt to sit outside. Super relaxing. I've come here several times for dinner and when I'm at the Sacramento Airport, I make sure to grab a bowl of their tomato bisque soup. But this is my first brunch here and I'm glad I went with people that love sharing plates as much as I do ... let's go! Brioche French Toast ($14.75, Grade A) - fresh berries, berry purée, salted maple cream. Brioche is thick cut and just dense enough to handle the toppings. Great balance of sweet and savory. Would order again. Farm Skillet (Grade B+, $17.25) - eggs, spinach, tomatoes, roasted yellow corn and sharp cheddar cheese, on a generous bed of tater tots. Plus 2 thick cut slices of toast. Flavor was great and the only reason this doesn't get a Solid-A-Grade is because the tots were not hots. The thing I was looking forward to most were hot tater tots and this was disappointing. Did they taste good? Yes, they are tater tots, but cold taters just shouldn't be served. Chocolate Banana Waffle (Grade A, $14.75) - fresh bananas slices and a salted maple cream. I thought these would be a regular waffle with a chocolate drizzle. Nope! This chocolate waffle was so light and perfectly sweet. The fresh bananas and maple cream added the sweet. This was a No-Syrup-Necessary waffle. Parking. Metered street parking. Bottom line. Friendly service. Wasn't crowded at all for brunch which was a surprise because the food is great and the portions are generous.

I've been to Cafeteria 15L a few times, those times were mainly receptions following conferences or state capitol lobby days. The food and drinks were good those times. I recently went for a lunch and it turned out really well. They were pretty busy in the middle of the lunch rush but they took care of our group of 8 pretty quickly. I had chose two starters for lunch 1) trio of fries and 2) the chicken strips. Both were pretty good and tasty. They were both fried, but didn't feel too heavy from the oil/grease. They did a good job. I might have to add this place to my rotation when I'm in Sacramento/at the Capitol.
